Lifeguarding
Surf Lifeguards have been patrolling Ocean Beach since 1965 and since then has provided a summer weekend surf patrol. We currently have over 100 qualified lifeguards who patrol the beach from November to March each year.
After you achieve your Surf Lifeguard Award you’ll join a patrol team and will be rostered for duty. Volunteer Surf Lifeguards patrol on weekends and public holidays during the warmer months of the year.
