OUR CLUB

The Ocean Beach Kiwi Surf Lifesaving Club been patrolling Ocean Beach since 1965.  Ocean Beach, an easy drive from Napier and Hastings, is becoming Hawke's Bay's most popular beach attracting large crowds of beach goers during the summer months. Being an exposed surf beach it can at times become very dangerous so a strong Surf Club with a healthy membership is therefore essential on this particular beach.

The overall objective of our club is to be successful and healthy in terms of membership base, quality of competitors, desirable competition results and high quality public service.

Surf lifesaving helps build self confidence, self discipline, integrity, strong character and courage for life not to mention friendships that last a lifetime

Surf Athletes are special people who generally go on and achieve what they want in life.  Our Club supports motivated people and fee that the discipline and determination generated by the Surf lifesaving ethos is a very worthwhile endeavor. Above all we encourage members to enjoy their sport and have fun at the Beach and stay over at our fantastic clubhouse
