The water athletes have managed to stick it out in the cold winter weather and are adding more sessions to the programme as we get closer to summer. Check out the website training page for more information on training times. If you are keen to come along but are a little unsure, and you think you need a bit more information, just give Adam or Jess a call/email – our details are on the website OR just check out the OBK Blog. The OBK Blog gives a rundown on trainings and what we did. It’s important to try and get along to as many of these trainings as possible. We are trying to get your bodies conditioned for the training we will be doing in the coming months – and we don’t want any injuries for those late ones. See you at training :) WORKING BEE @ KIWI BEACHWe are going to have a wee working bee at Kiwi Beach on Sunday the 12th of September @ 10:30am in preparation for the summer months. We will be moving out all the gear and sweeping out the sheds and concrete area, cleaning the showers, checking gear, erecting and cleaning the club tent etc. The more hands the lighter the work – so we would appreciate anybody who can lend a helping hand. JANDAL DAYJandal Day this year is Friday the 3rd of December 2010. Last year we raised $7,665 as a Club – which helps towards the costs of our club operations. i.e. the electricity for those warm showers you have at the Clubhouse when you stay over summer etc. Michelle will be looking for volunteers again to do allocated hours at particular sights - PLEASE make contact with Michelle NOW if you are able to help on Dec 3rd, so she can begin planning.
